German business context

Adoption is growing — but compatibility, knowledge and implementation still matter.

German businesses are adopting AI and cloud services, but official data shows that the practical barriers are often not about access to technology. They are about skills, legal uncertainty, data, compatibility with existing systems and the ability to integrate new capabilities into day-to-day operations.

26% of businesses in Germany used AI technologies in 2025.
23% / 36% AI usage among businesses with 10–49 employees and 50–249 employees respectively.
45% of non-users considering AI cited incompatibility with existing equipment, software or systems as a barrier.

Digitalisation is not just about adding more software. The real value comes from connecting systems, reducing friction and making technology fit the process that the business already depends on.
What we can build

Reliable digital infrastructure around real business processes.

We work across several areas, but the goal is not to sell isolated services. The goal is to build or improve the combination of systems that the business actually needs.

01 · APPLICATIONS

Custom applications

Internal tools, portals and specialised software designed around operational workflows and business requirements.

02 · ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

AI integration

AI added to processes, knowledge systems and existing applications where it can produce a practical operational gain.

03 · INTEGRATION

System integration

APIs, data flows and connections between platforms so information and processes do not remain trapped in separate systems.

04 · AUTOMATION

Process automation

Reduce repetitive work, duplicate data entry and manual hand-offs without creating unnecessary complexity.

05 · E-COMMERCE & WEB

Digital commerce and web

Online stores, catalogues, professional websites, integrations and the digital infrastructure that supports them.

06 · MODERNISATION

Modernise existing systems

Improve, extend or connect what already exists instead of replacing stable systems without a clear reason.

How we work

Architecture before patchwork.

Adding another tool can solve one problem and create three new ones. We first understand the process, current systems and constraints, then define what should be changed, what should be connected and what should remain untouched.

1

Understand

Map the process, users, dependencies, systems and actual business objective.

2

Design

Define the architecture and interfaces before introducing new complexity.

3

Implement & test

Build and validate the solution against real operational requirements.

4

Evolve

Improve progressively while preserving what is stable, useful and already working.

Modernisation without disruption

You do not need to rebuild everything.

Existing systems often contain years of process knowledge. A better digital strategy can mean extending, connecting or simplifying them rather than replacing the entire environment.

Legacy or existing software can be connected to newer services through APIs.
Manual processes can be automated without redesigning the whole organisation.
Existing applications can gain AI capabilities where they are useful.
Separated data sources can be connected into more coherent workflows.
E-commerce and websites can be integrated with operational systems instead of living separately.
Why this matters in Germany

The digital gap is still visible among SMEs.

KfW reported in April 2026 that only 30% of German SMEs had recently completed digitalisation projects, with activity falling back to its pre-pandemic level and the gap between larger and smaller SMEs remaining wide.

Practical progress, not digital theatre.

For many businesses, the next useful step is not a large transformation programme. It is one concrete improvement that removes friction: a better internal tool, a reliable integration, a workflow automation or an AI capability that fits into existing operations.

That is the level at which we prefer to start.

Working internationally

Based in Portugal. Working remotely with businesses in Germany.

A direct working relationship.

DigitalServices · Elegia Studio operates from Portugal and works internationally. Project discovery, architecture, development, testing and ongoing evolution can all be handled remotely.

We do not present ourselves as a German office. We focus on clear communication, defined project scope and technology designed around the actual business requirement.

A process to improve? Systems to connect?
